The home straight!..

 

Good morning everyone! I was priviledged to be able to capture the full moon rising at the local favorite beach baggies so thought I would share some of those snaps..

                                    

 

It’s been just over a month and so there is lot’s to catch up on..

 

I have recently met up with brother Joe and his wife Christien and together a new dream was birthed.. Dawid and Linda were collected from Port Shepstone and came to a new home. I have nearly completed my design and may in fact establish the first unit at brother Joe’s place.

So now, while we go about repairing old ruins, putting roofs on and storing rainwater for a small community near Craigieburn I am musing abouth the system..

 

It will process just under 2 metric tons per day of organic municipal solid waste. Avoiding emissions of carbon dioxide and methane and because the latter is 36 times more harmful than the former, this equates to about 3,13 metric tons of CO2 equivalent or “TCO2e”. As the government has happily agreed to the Cross Border Adjustment Mechanism and are prepared to tax our local manufacturers and exporters up to €180/MT, reciprocally they should rebate innovation really dealing with the problem and creating jobs at the same rate, resulting in a daily income stream of just over R6000 for the facility. If the facility is configured to maximise conversion of CO2 to dry ice, it may produce about also just over 3 ton CO2 dry ice which is a useful refrigerant and could be sold for around R50 to R80/kg. Its is unsurpassed in terms of carbon capture as well beneficiating the environment, job creation potential and provision of basic necessities. The cold gas that does not sublime will be used to chill water to around 5°C which is very useful for extracting high purity drinking water from air.

 

The main purpose of the unit is to provide electricity and remediate wastewater at the time when it is needed most, typically from 06:00 to 10:00 and from 16:00 to 20:00. It is expected to provide 3MWh daily and remediate around 30kL of water.
